Trainers’ network

HURICAP’s training approach is built on brain-based and experiential learning delivered by a pool of around 30 Anglophone, Francophone and Arabic-speaking trainers, who reside in and come from various countries in West, Central and East Africa and the Middle East. They train in-country partners as they are often more familiar with cultural, social, religious and/or ethnic sensitivities or traits that need to be considered in training content and design.

The trainers form a community of practice that exchanges and discusses on a closed online platform managed by HURICAP. The platform also contains all of the latest training materials, such as session plans, presentations and handouts, that are easy to download for all platform members.

Regular training-of-trainers courses and webinars are provided to develop their online and offline training skills and to acquire expertise on different thematic specializations, such as addressing torture, sexual violence and enforced disappearances.
